How to End your Dating Complaints

bled-3Regardless of whether you’re in your 20s or your 70s, you may find your destined life partner through an online dating service. There is a wide variety of online dating sites, ranging from services that cater to everyone to sites that are directed towards a specific population – older people, blacks, Latinos, overweight individuals, single parents, military personnel, etc.

No matter which site you choose, you’ll probably find that there are people who are prepared to review the site with feedback and, sometimes, complaints. These reviews can take the form of general suggestions on how to improve the service to vitriolic outbursts about a site’s failures. Obviously, sometimes someone submits a complaint that is unrealistic but in general, reading a review of an online dating service can give you an idea of whether that service is the right one for your needs and expectations.

How about your own dating complaints? If you’ve been using online dating services for awhile, you probably have some feedback of your own.

Some services are better than others, and some online sites provide a better chance for meeting your match than others do. However, there are some things that you can also do to end your dating complaints.

  1. Make sure that your expectations are realistic. It may be nice to consider dating a Greek god (or goddess) but if what you really want is to establish a comfortable and stable home, forget the gods/desses and look for someone who shares your values and life goals.
  2. Concentrate on dating individuals who are similar to you. Studies repeatedly show that those matches do the best over the long term.
  3. Introduce your date to your family and friends. They want what’s best for you and can tell you if your date is the right person for you.
